Inductus Premier eLearning Standards
Inductus has committed to the following key standards that all training multi-media, produced by Inductus, will meet the following requirements:
1. All modules are digitally narrated for maximum attention.
2. All modules include interactions, animation, images, or video to maximise engagement and retention of knowledge.
3. All modules are designed with the colleague’s workplace training environment taken into consideration to ensure quality training:
a. All modules use failsafe bookmarking to ensure progress and training data is not lost in the event of a lost or abandoned training session.
b. All modules record in full the training progress and responses.
c. All modules continuously check the connection and pause status of training in case the connection is lost.
d. All modules pause the training without loss if the user changes focus and moves to another browser tab or programme.
4. All modules are available in SCORM version 1.2 compliant versions for running on the clients own established Learning Management System, if required.
5. All modules store additional training information when ran on our user-friendly SafetyNet/Academy hosted LMS’.
Questions and Answers:
Q. Why do you include narration with all your training material?
A. Although users can turn off the volume and read the text, narration aids concentration and enables good sequencing of the slide actions.
Q. Why don’t you allow users to fast forward through pages/slides/videos?
A. The evidence is that, in the workplace training environment, wherever this option is given, the user is tempted to not read or look at the page, but simply fast forward to completion. This results in a zero or minimum in-take of knowledge.
Q. Will your training run on our own Learning Management System?
A. Yes, of course, provided it is SCORM v 1.2 compliant. In addition our own SafetyNet and Academy LMS’s also record additional information on the quality of the “learning experience”.
Q. Why do you not allow a Contents Menu on the view at runtime?
A. Our evidence is that for essential training it creates a distraction from the logical progression of the learning material. However this does not exclude it where appropriate.
Q. Why does the page/slide stop if the user does something else?
A. Our resources are programmed to identify a change of focus so the essential content is not missed due to interruptions to the training.
