Inductus Health & Safety Training
Inductus is the quickest and most efficient way to build a strong foundation for your employee health & safety training.
The moment a new member of staff steps into your premises you have serious responsibilities to them. Failure to instruct them properly leaves them vulnerable to accidents and you both are personally and/or corporately liable to expensive claims. Therefore it is in your interests to give them a rapid induction to this aspect of their employment and to accurately record it.
" Inductus " is an aid to health & safety training that you can use on 'day one' in the first hour with any new member of staff or as a refresher course with existing staff. It makes them aware of the dangers in your workplace environment and enables you to record their intake of the essential points of Health & Safety legislation for your personnel records.
Inductus Syllabus
The induction is in three parts and the employee progresses from one part to the next by reaching the pre-set achievement level in each section. The whole course takes about 60 minutes to complete. It is very easy to use and requires no existing computer skills.
Part 1.
- Introduction - A brief explaination of the purpose of the course.
- Preventing Accidents - A general section giving good day one advice.
- Manual Handling - Gives guidelines on how to avoid injuries caused by poor handling of goods and equipment.
- VDU - Outlines precautions to avoid physical conditions that can be caused by bad posture etc.
Part 2.
- Personal Protective Equipment - Includes examples of different types of PPE and their uses.
- Labelling & CoSHH - Gives an understanding of labelling information and a basic introduction to CoSHH sheets and their interpretation.
Part 3.

Note: The first aid section is specifically to help them be of valuable assistance in the event of an accident and is not a substitute for proper first aid training.
Part 4.

The trainees are tested throughout by multiple choice questions and by graphical image testing.
Inductus: The fail proof method
The Inductus Induction Course requires a vacant Personal Computer and 1 minute of administration time to set up the course for the individual employee. It does not require costly input or supervision from department heads. The employee is left to progress through an interactive, multi media environment using only the left click on the computer mouse. The program is colourful, animated, uses sound with narration and music and is fun to participate in.
The learning method relies on sight and sound, as text,
graphics and animations are viewed alongside the
course narration. The subject matter taught is
constantly reinforced as the employee's attention is
focused to read and navigate through the course to the
end of each section where they are faced with a series
of multiple-choice questions and graphic images to
measure understanding and retention. A previously
fixed pass standard set by the company administrator
shows performance in marks and percentage through
out the tests. Failure to achieve the standard prevents
progression and invites a return to the test, thus
ensuring maximum retention and a uniform standard
throughout the company. As there is no need for
conventional talk and chalk tutors, the instruction is
given with precision consistency throughout your
organisation.
The proof of event and the employees performance in the tests are saved directly to a data base either on your hard disk or over your company network. In addition the file can be e-mailed by an automatically prepared message to a remote Human Resources Department.
Interactive environment brings life to what is often considered a non-emotive subject.
- Employees work at their own learning pace.
- Employees understanding and retention is measured and recorded for personal file.
- Approximately 1 hour to completion and protection.
Inductus Cost Savings
