Inductus
was formed by Bob Russell, who is the initiator and driving force behind
the Inductus training resource and owner of the company. With over 20
years experience in the automotive industry supplying chemicals, training
staff and promoting Health & Safety and CoSHH issues, it was evident
that the needs of all organisations to meet both legal obligations, protect
staff from accidents and safeguard companies and their directors from
unwanted claims, that the development of a new efficient and cost effective
resource was imperative.
Inductus is distance learning at its best. It can be a costly exercise to move staff around to central locations for training sessions. By the time costs for an instructor, travel and accommodation are met the outlay for a short in-house training session can be considerable. In situations of high staff turnover it is even more important to keep costs to a minimum. That is why Inductus is dedicated to producing "bespoke" training resources of the highest quality and value to maximise on the advantages of distance learning methods.
The first product from Inductus was "Professional Valeter" which was developed for use by technical colleges on their NVQ courses. Input was also received from ReMIT, colleges and the Institute of the Motor Industry. The training resource was subsequently endorsed by the IMI and sold to over 30 colleges in the UK.
The development of the distance learning and multi media rich techniques of "Professional Valeter" focused further development on the need to produce a health & safety induction for automotive staff in the car dealerships as well as for college students.
It is now 3 years since the 1st version of Inductus was available and since that time on-going development has resulted in a product that both meets the customers present needs and ensures accurate archiving of data as "proof" that the company has met their full legal induction training objectives. Inductus continues to be improved by listening to customer needs and feedback and by constant monitoring of the latest technical developments. Inductus will export data records with other HR software packages.
Our expanded development team now specialise in different areas of development. Additional trade versions are now being developed for release later in the year. We are also planning an additional range of bolt-on modules to the basic induction training resource.
Inductus customers include Ford Retail UK, JCT600 and Eastern Holdings, EMG Ford, Lind Automotive Group, Barkers of Malton.
Inductus can now meet the needs of the largest customers with delivery via CD-ROM drive, Hard Disk, Network and Internet/Intranet.
